  • 2. Receive your Quote

    If you are happy with what you see . Pay 50% deposit to secure your date.

    (If the total cost is under £100, full payment is required.)

  • 3. Book your Date

    We’ll finalise the details of the design including colour palette for your final approval.

  • 4. Final Payment

    Final payment due 7 days before the event

  • 5. Day of the event

    We show up and work our magic or if it’s a Big Up Pick-Up, it’ll be ready and waiting for you to collect.

 FAQs

  • We are primarily a balloon decor & event styling company. We offer a full range of balloon designs from single helium balloon bouquets to 25 ft balloon arches and everything in between. We also offer prop rentals that includes sequin walls, hoops, sailboards, light up numbers and other types of decor to further enhance your event.

    Need help pulling it all together? We can also suggest other party suppliers or service providers in our area that can supply cakes and flowers etc.

  • This is our FULL TIME job; not a side hustle or hobby. We design, inflate, prep, and create magic 6 days a week. Big Up Balloons is a registered company and insured for your peace of mind. We take pride in the design and final product and we will only ever work with the highest quality materials available from the most reputable suppliers in the UK and abroad.

  • If you would like us to Big Up your party or event please fill out the enquiry form here and provide us with a few additional details.

    Once we receive your enquiry we will check our calendar for availability and get back to you within 48 hours. If we are unavailable on that date we will let you know right away.

  • For Installs we need as much notice as possible so that we can design your set up and source the right materials. Minimum 1 month notice would be an ideal time. If it is earlier, we can check but we can't always guarantee we will have the space for you.

    Heliums we ask for 3 days plus notice so we can check stock and diary.

  • Minimum for collection is £25

  • Yes we do as long as we have availability at that time.

    Areas that we cover are Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and London. If you have a very large scale event and you are not located in this area please contact us and we can discuss.

    Delivery for heliums and air-filled designs there is a minimum of £100 spend. Delivery cost is calculated and added to the final cost.

  • Yes you can. Collection from our studio at 14 Pipkin Drive, Buntingford, Herts SG99FU

    Our collection hours are:
    Monday - Friday 9.30 am to 6pm

    Saturday-9am to 5.30pm (these times may vary when busy with installations)

    Sunday- Closed

  • The overall cost totally depends on your personal selections and party goals! To learn more about our pricing just hop over to the Installs and Pick-Ups pages. Or we have the balloon menu (at the bottom of these pages) as a guide too.

  • This depends on the style you select and the environment; but generally:

    INDOOR BALLOONS:

    - Helium LATEX Balloons: (2-3 Days)

    - Helium Jumbo LATEX Balloons: (5-7 days)

    - Helium FOIL Balloons: (5-7 Days)

    - Air filled Garlands, displays, arches, walls etc. can last up to several weeks indoors.

  • Yes! We use the highest quality balloons available.

    They are made of 100% natural biodegradable latex. We advise all clients to pop and dispose of balloons properly once they are done.

    Helium balloons never leave our studio without a weight and we do not support any type of balloon release.

  • Although we use the highest quality balloons available on the market, balloons naturally do not do well in the sun. Air and helium expands when it's hot and the balloons tend to pop when in direct sun (especially dark coloured balloons). 

    We always recommend placing your balloons in a shaded area to ensure they look great for your event!

    Latex balloons will oxidise especially when outside or on hot days. Coloured will take on a matt appearance and clear will go cloudy.

  • Keep balloons away from direct sunlight and very warm places. Helium expands in warm temperatures so balloons can burst if left in front of windows, in conservatories, cars etc. Avoid very low temperatures too as they can affect the float time of the balloon, balloons prefer to be in comfortable room temperatures.

    Keep the balloons away from open windows, doors and breezy spots as they can be blown against sharp objects and will burst.

    Make sure balloons are not near any sharp objects.

    Check there are no nails in walls or sharp corners/edges close to where you are displaying the balloon/balloons as it will puncture if they brush against them.

    Balloons are not a toy. Uninflated or burst balloons can present a choking hazard and should never be left with children under the age of eight without supervision. Store balloons away from pets to ensure that they cannot get themselves tangled with balloon ribbons or accidentally ingest popped balloons or their decorative contents such as confetti, feathers, or other materials. If a balloon pops, clear away any broken balloons and it's decorative contents (if applicable) immediately.

    ALL released balloons become litter. They can get caught up in trees or power lines and be harmful for wildlife. Remember - Don't Let Go & Pin It and Bin It!
